257. Who are your favorite actors?
Although I have my few favorite movies, overall, I would say that I’m not a big “movie” person. I rarely go to the movies (I’ve been to about 5 movies in the last 15 years). I do however enjoy watching TV. Mostly basic half hour or hour long shows, with an occasional movie thrown in from time to time. The few movies I do watch tend to be older movies from the Turner Classic Movie channel. Unless of course it’s Christmas time, in which case all that we watch for the whole month of December is the Hallmark Channel and all of their Christmas movies. The majority of what we watch are the basic half hour/hour long TV programs. Well, that is when Don does not have sports on the TV, which is the majority of the time since he watches baseball, basketball, hockey and football. 🙁
I don’t really think I have a “favorite” actor. The closest I can think of is that I am obsessed with The Big Bang Theory TV show. There are very few things on TV, or in the movies, that are actually funny. I mean, really funny…like “laugh out load” type of funny and when I am going to watch something, it has to be funny. I do not do serious, soul wrenching type of shows or movies. Life is already depressing enough most days, so if I am going to get some form of entertainment from something, it has to be something that is going to be uplifting and hilarious. The Big Bang Theory gives that to me. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched that show and have laughed until I cried.
I love the whole cast, but my two favorites from the show are Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik. The character of Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons made me laugh for years before the character of Amy, played by Mayim Bialik appeared on the show. However, the chemistry between Sheldon and Amy on the show is just to much. They pair so well together and their comedy feeds naturally off of each other. The tiara show is one of my all time favorite sitcom shows ever. I laugh so hard still whenever I see it (and I’ve seen most episodes of this show at least 10 times).
It’s very sad that this is the last season of the show. I guess all good things must come to an end. After 12 seasons, I guess they feel they have run their course. Luckily I own all seasons from 1 through 11 on DVD, so I can continue to watch the show for years to come. For the past 11 years, I’ve received the most recent season of the show as a Christmas gift from my parents. I guess this coming Christmas will be my last year of getting my Big Bang DVD. Another tradition will be coming to an end.
