365 Day Blog Post Challenge 2019
94. Your dream job would be…..
Out of the other 14 posts I have done so far this year, I have to say this is by far the easiest. I’ve had the same dream job the majority of my adult life. Event Planner / Party Organizer / Trip Coordinator!
There is nothing I love more then planning a party or a trip. I think I actually enjoy the organizing and arrangement making almost as much, if not a little more then I like the actual event itself. When I am planning a party or a trip, I become obsessed with the all the details. I find it exciting to try and find different and unique ways of making an event or a trip more special and interesting for everyone involved. I’ve planned more parties then I can mention for birthdays, baby showers and anniversaries. I’ve helped friends plan graduation and birthday parties for their family members when they don’t have the time to invest in all of the little details. I’ve also planned many a vacation for family members, including making reservations at special restaurants or booking shuttles to airports. I really do enjoy all aspects of putting everything in place so that others can have a good time.
Anyone that knows me already is aware that if they plan on traveling with me, there will be an itinerary of activities involved. I start doing research way in advance of any trip to make sure I find unique things to do or places to go. Before my month in France, I spent countless hours on the computer watching YouTube videos and googling all the information I could find on all aspects of Paris. Even when we go on our yearly trip to Las Vegas, I always seem to find something new for us to do (which can be a challenge since we have been going every year for the last 15 years).
I would have to say my favorite part of this past Christmas was the Gingerbread decorating party we had at our house. I had so much fun planning and getting all the decorations and special little surprises for the kids. There is just something magical about putting together a party and then sitting back and watching everyone enjoy it.
I know there are people that find party or vacation planning stressful or just to tedious. I find it neither of those things. I find it fun and exciting. Imagine if it were possible to get paid for doing something you love to do! I’ve heard there are actually people out there that really get to experience this feeling. I think I’m a little to old at this point in life to make any major career changes… but it did ask what my “dream” job would be and this will always be my answer.
